Brisbane 030309

Reached the hotel @ about 0900Hrs (GMT+10) strangely we had to change 2 buses before we crawled our way through the morning traffic which felt totally like a mad rush! Thank God the hotel had the rooms prepared unlike my previous JoBurg trip... anyway i surrendered whatever was left of my rapidly diminishing state of alertness to the warm and comfortable bed after a long long long shower... slowly i sink into a deep slumber...

Then the phone rang!

0145Hrs and it was a call from my colleague and a few sms-es that somehow didnt seem to awake me from sleep, time to head out for lunch. Guess what?! the colleague that called me earlier dozed off! ARGH we left without him. The good thing bout Hilton Brisbane is that its located in the middle of the shopping street hence food and shopping was not an issue. eat - walk - eat -walk

Time to sit down for a lill chat, food and some BEER!

New kinda Aussie beer "Fat Yak" Aus8.20 coming from a beer drinker this is good, DARN GOOD!

Apple Pie + Icecream

Mudcake!~ talk about loosing weight huh?

Its interesting talking to colleagues whom have freshly tied the knot. One can learn alot from such conversations. Well it was not all serious talk, we crapped alill along the way too especially bout how the times have changed, which kinda affects our current working environment in the aviation industry. Then a idea presented itself *new plans for the future*. Ok its gonna take 2 years so... patience

We got back to the hotel @ 2045Hrs. Was time to head back to our rooms for some rest, not for me that is i went for a swim till 2200Hrs and it feels good having the entire pool to yourself!

taking a dip in the heated pool and looking up into the dark sky, take a deep breath... closing your eyes somehow you feel like you have escaped the urban jungle thats around you. Apart from the sound of the the water ripples and the crickets its just you and you against the world. Sometimes it pays to be alone in such a situation: quiet time, self reflection, relaxation... Peace.
