End of my "tourism" course!

For the past 2 days ive been attending this course with a group of colleagues ive never met before! The initial though of this course was like a total waste of time, thats where i was wrong. This short 2 days have broadened my knowledge on our countries history fiction and facts, you would be surprised to find out really interesting stuff like how many birds are there in the bird park, what does each dollar note mean and represent, history behind many attractions in Singapore etc. Made a few new friends along the way too! sadly 1 of them was not feeling well on the 2nd day and so we missed her out in the group picture.

from left: Charmaine, Jacqueline, "Me", Felicity and Peggy
Recently Ive got news from Vincent's babe that shees got the entire Sims2 expansion pack and shees gonna lend em to me! woohoo its fun time i cant remember when was the last occasion i created a sims character of myself, working my way up the corporate ladder, getting hitched, married, kids! cant wait! its gonna be fun!

How it came to pass...

Date: 27/04/09, Time: 0100Hrs, Location: ?

Some of you might know it as Plan"B" and some of you would have already known the plan i had installed for that special someone. Thanks Isa, Noraini and Adli for keeping it a hush hush from Edda but ive gotta say her "instincts were right... there was indeed something up my sleeves 4 day before her flight.

Indeed we have come a long way, from strangers starting out on our cabin crew course with batch 984 till this very day. Edda was loud! very loud (straight forward intelligent humorous & still is!), tanned and toned (you know what they say bout sporty girls! HAWT) has a marvelous smile with a set of pearly whites (very attractive smile! haha Adli might disagree) never fails to smell good and look good (i dont think i need to add onto that for those whom know her well enough) Shees fun to be with does not care bout that strangers say bout her and her actions, not someone that can be "homely". Thats what most people would see.

Well Edda is not just all that, theres a side of her that most people dont see. Somehow that side only revealed itself after we left STC. Heres my story,

Soon we lost touched... i fade away after receiving a SMS from her that very night but i knew it was the best option then, for the both of us - my dreams were dashed. Through this "painful times" that dragged on into months then did i see her as not "just another friend". I have erased hopes of us getting together i even hung up her phone and in the end what was left was only a small kindle that glowed deep inside. Strangely i could not bring myself to put it out... i waited in silence...

The months went on and one fine day i received a SMS from her, that message changed my life it made me look into the mirror and ask myself why. Edda iam sorry... i know it took lots of courage and heart to tell me what you did, and iam glad you did it cause it broke the walls ive fortified my heart in. It showed me you do hold on to people dear in your life and no matter the outcome i would never ignore your existence. Even tho we were both flying so often you tried your very best to hang out or to be there for me and friends.

Slowly but surely we got back into better terms and it was only through this time of rediscovering each other did we see that different side of ourselves. Good times and bad times passed, Edda never fails to give me quality advice on whatever problems i faced and in return i would never not lend her my listening ear and advice too. I have to say i was starting to enjoy her company and i was exposed to many new people in her life like her family, Sandra, Isa, Ivan and more! Edda, discovering you and your life was like rediscovering Eden it beautiful beyond words and i enjoyed every single bit of it. Somehow the right time and right place presented itself... and i popped the question (well isa iam glad plan"A" failed, but u have to agree it was GREAT right?!) the rest is history.

Well the the shortest i could sum this up into. I look forward to our little gathering! good food awaits! have yet to get any sleep after i got back from flight zzz.

PS* for those who believed in me, Thanks! i told you i'd make it happen someday.

Somethings money cant buy!

Well there is a saying that "Money makes to world go round" to a certain extend that is true, i would agree that money can buy happiness depending on what level of it and how much money weighs over other factors in love and happiness be it family friends and loved ones. As for me, the capability of earning a decent amount of money has opened alot of doors in life eg. buying a 2.9k laptop (which i kinda regret till this day) branded stuff to pamper myself and my loved ones, taking ownership of the family's monthly bills so on and forth. What iam gonna say next is not a complain bout my life or my career.
As some of you guys would have know iam suppose to be back in Singapore today 19/4/09 but somehow there are some technical issues with the aircraft and hence iam stuck here for another day so guess what? somehow the "issue" is not as simple as it seems and my set of crew and i might have to be going back another day later which makes it on the 20th and reaching on the 21st. Well 80% of my colleagues are overjoyed like PWWOOOOo! cause with 2 extra days in Milan it means whatever LVs Guccis Pradas they got has just been paid for haha! (you do the math) cheers guys but iam not in such a jolly state as everyone. Reason being N/O.1 ill have minus 2 days off my rostered A/L. and N/O.2 its gonna affect my foster! so in my current state money is not the top priority - Time is! be it time spent with myself lazing by the pool, time spent on weekend family gatherings or time spent with people that mean more than money or the world to me!
This is like the longest Europe stay ive ever got now and i hibernated! i cant believe it. Thank Edda and Isa for keeping me company, it was fun watching and chatting you 2 up, for a moment it felt like i was over in the room with you guys. Oh and Sandra for you crappyness in the Vid haha you cracked me up! K iam carry on reading my Forgotten Realms novels! the Swordcoast awaits! Farewell
Somehow this might be a blessing in disguise... so far its easing the pocket from next months roster...

Bored in Milan...

Well this Milan trip was sort of a retreat for me... apart from the wonderful food i had at the crew joint (IT JUST GOT BETTER) i stayed within the 4 walls of my hotel room. Once in awhile i would make a short trip to the hotel's fitness center for a workout and to refill my bottle muahah! yes cause theres no water boiler in this hotel, if you want to borrow 1 it would cost you 40Euros! and thats also the reason why i have 3 packs of untouched cup noodles! the only interesting thing that happened was a mini hailstorm that happened outside my balcony area! they landed with thuds really tiny and they melted real fast once in contact with the ground. Oh well 45mins till call time. Probably iam in such a moody state cause of my upcoming roster. Gonna change my flights hopefully i can work something out. K its 0955hrs in Milan now time to get ready for work. Cya.... *walks back into the room*
Where i spent most of my time talking to "the love of my life"

yea thats her haha! so whats for dinner hon?
NOoo... drystores?!

cold food!? uve gotta be kidding me!

but baby we dont have hotwater...

Iam leaving em all in Milan, time to bring some goodies back home!
Guess what? the aircraft got delayed hence ive got 2hrs to go! since ive got so much time to spare i shall post crappy pics of my humble Milan trip. No LVs Guccis Pradas...

Oh and Susan Boyle! if you have not seen or heard of her? then you should watch this! 47Yrs old with mind blowing vocals! defying the odds she wowed the crowd! amazing... watch it! its already got more than 20mil hits.

Zurich trip n/o.2 pics

This comes kinda late, as always iam caught up with an endless wave of stuff to do every time iam back in Singapore - which is a good thing right? its alike to booking out every Sunday from the army barracks. Sleep would be the last thing on my mind when iam back. Ok! anyway this time round i limited my finances as i told myself i would not be planning to head out to anywhere since my relatives currently back in Sing and theres no reason for me to head out, but i was wrong. The lure of the beautiful sights and sound of the tourist attractions got the better of me. This trip was spent going to the SCHLOSS LAUFEN am Rheinfall.

We decided to take the forest trial which leads up to a fort which overseas the Rheinfalls, from this trail one gets to see a sight thats pretty breath taking its like the start to the end of a journey before the rapids hit the falls.

top of the fort @ this really small balcony, the place is under reconstruction.

we got off the fort and made our way down to this small docks area where you can get a boat ride which brings you straight to the middle of the Rheinfalls. Its cost 7bucks if memory does not fail me but hey the sight from the top is worth the money!

to the back is where the fort is.

after which we made a trip back to oldtown for dinner =) ah ha ill update more pics in a lill. for now someones 5mins is up! you know who you are

Re: to share a view of mine on LOVE

Its a topic which is related to Ivan and Edda's recent post. So the topics bout falling in love and when that happens guys become jerks and gals silly. Ok for starters ive not been into many relationships infact you can use the fingers on a hand to make up the total sum of girls/ladies/women ive ever dated. Then again the amount is not what really matters! its the quality of the relationship and how that wonderful journey (well it might not be wonderful for everyone but iam sure all of them had their good and bad times right?) makes one learn more about himself/herself. Then improve gear up and strive to make whatever relationship you are in better.

Well i dont think love makes guys mutate into jerks! some maybe but not all. Allow me to sight an example, ive got a Someone whom is the same age as iam, when he was in his more youthful days he was a REAL JERK, disrespects his family members, playing pranks all the time, clubs drinking smoking, changing girlfriends like as if hees shopping for a new T etc. Then this girl came along she is 21, sweet smile, beautiful and ladylike BUT she has got a kid from her previous marriage. In spite of that which many would consider a BIG NO NO he takes her and her child into his life, slowly but surely he is changing for the better - stops clubbing and drinking cuts down on smoking, trying to give them a future thats worth living for.

You can say that she is SILLY! OMG this is a guy that you hardly know prob only a year or so, he drinks smokes plays round a lill too much and shees gonna allow herself to be hooked up? having to look after a kid is already hard enough for a 21yrs old alright! and shees already been badly hurt from a failed marriage. well look @ it this way, she sees a diamond thats just not polished - he accepted her past and is willing to work on their future, should she not give him a fair chance @ love? one should never be judged from his/her past!

So they say: LOVE IS BLIND! So what if he used to be a drug addict or she someone thats fools around in her younger days? thats the past aye? if you really really REALLY love someone you should never detest their past. Its from there one learns grown and transforms into something better. Iam sure everyone hurts in a failed relationship so Hear them out, give them quality advice, love them for whom they are and work on improving from there. Note and never stop learning to love cause once you are back in it, alls gonna be lovey dovey for a few mths and soon the waves or arguments and disagreements are gonna come crashing down on your sweet little sandcastle. Are you ready for another "cycle of falling in love" and if you are already in it are you strong matured and forgiving do you have enough patience, compassion and humility to last through this relationship till the end of your days? or is this just gonna be another phase in life till Mr/Mrs right comes along.

Anyways the couple i was talking bout a lill earlier are now happily in love. Iam not surprised if they tie the knot in a year or 2 but iam very sure they have learned to accept each other for whom they are and what they have been through. I am glad for them.

Ill post a lill something, vows which i kinda live by when i get home later. To end it off all guys go through that "jerk" phase and all girls have had their silly moments in love. But they can choose to learn from it =)

Somehow this works for me. Try it =)

Major events over a short period of time!

Many many many events have taken place in this short period since i got back from the States till this current day. Lemmi sum a few of em up for yao fellas. I went back to Nagoya! i remember how Nagoya was one of my 1st SNY trips with my bro Benny, how we got lost trying to find the Nagoya castle and how we took the train back to the station which was totally embarrassing as we somehow got into the "all ladies" cabin. Benny if you are reading this, this time round i took a few of our colleagues back to the small little back alley cafe =) see i remember the way!

When i got back from Japan there were more events installed! Isa's 21st! and my Uncles and Imelda's ROM. Edda Isa and I had to head out on the 24th to grab lotsa materials and gifts for her party, it was fun shopping for such stuff and we cracked our minds on the kinda gifts to get eg. ice cream, a field chair (yea you army fellas believe it), towels blabla and the list goes on and on. We managed 3 full bags of items before heading down to bugis for a lill chitchat with Edda's BFS.

Edda and gang.

*Edda and I threw a mini surprise birthday celebration for Isa! so caught her by surprise haha view the 28th march post http://eddachristine.blogspot.com/*

Well on the 28th was the loving couples BIG DAY! well if the lady in the picture looks really familiar well then you are right! few months back i did a Zurich flight with Imelda and somehow i managed to get my uncles whos based there to head out for dinner with us. I guess its there and then where the sparks somehow appeared hahaha! So hooray now ive got an "Aunt" thats in the same profession! how cools that =) the ROM was a small event for the family here in Singapore and a few relatives of Imelda that flew over from Indonesia. Actual weddings gonna be somewhere in June with a guest list of 300++ in Jakarta, wow i wish my future weddings gonna be that huge an event. Iam sure someone would agree on that.

aaw~ thats my uncle and Imelda =)

yes thats why she looks all too familiar!

After attending the ROM i made my way to Isa's 21st =) and got there just in time to see Edda hosting games and all. Sandra's dad and Kong were really nice to invite me over to their table for a round of beer. Sadly i missed out alot of the days event but still iam glad i made it there. Looking @ the amount of presents Isa got for her 21st bad me do a lill flash back on mine... hmm FHM, Guitar, Uniform... GUARD DUTY GUARD COM. GRRRRrrr...
